The MNU team visited GDh. Fiyoaree on 24 June 2026 as part of continued outreach efforts to strengthen access to higher education opportunities across island communities.

During the visit, the team met with the Secretariat of the South Huvadhu Atholhu Fiyoaree Council and Women’s Development Committee members for a meaningful discussion on educational opportunities and community collaboration. The team shared information about MNU’s goals, study opportunities, and courses offered for the upcoming intake.

The discussion also explored possible ways to strengthen collaboration and support students and the wider community in accessing higher education opportunities close to home. The visit reflected the importance of inclusive access to education, lifelong learning, local partnership, women’s and community participation, and informed decision-making.
