The MNU team visited GDh. Hoandedhdhoo on 22 June 2026 as part of its continued outreach efforts to strengthen access to higher education opportunities across island communities.
During the visit, the team met with members of Hoandedhdhoo Council and the Women’s Development Committee for a meaningful discussion on educational opportunities, community collaboration, and ways to support students and families in accessing higher education close to home.
The team shared information about MNU’s goals, available study opportunities, and courses offered for the upcoming intake. The discussion also explored possible areas of collaboration between MNU, the Council, and WDC, particularly in supporting student guidance, community engagement, capacity building, and future educational initiatives.
This visit promoted inclusive access to education, lifelong learning, informed decision-making, women’s and community participation, and local partnership. By engaging directly with island leaders and community representatives, MNU continues to support learners in exploring academic and career pathways without having to depend only on opportunities far from home.
MNU extends sincere appreciation to Hoandedhdhoo Council and WDC members for the warm welcome, kind support, and valuable engagement during the visit.
