MNU Thinadhoo Campus welcomed nursing students from the School of Nursing, Malé Campus, and MNU Hithadhoo Campus for the 2026 Term I Community Health Field Trip, conducted in Thinadhoo from 31st May to 11th June 2026.

The field trip provided students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities and practical exposure to community health practice. As part of the programme, students visited households, cafés, the hospital, and schools in Thinadhoo to collect health-related information, identify community health concerns, provide selected nursing care services, and deliver health education to the community.

During the field trip, a meeting was also held with Thinadhoo City Council and the MNU nursing students. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss community-related matters and strengthen engagement between students, the Council, and the local community.

As part of the activities, Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Nursing students from the School of Nursing conducted health education and school health assessment sessions at Thinadhoo School. The sessions were informative and aimed at promoting student health, wellbeing, and awareness.

MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends heartfelt appreciation to Thinadhoo City Council, Thinadhoo School, the School of Nursing, and all students and staff who supported and contributed to the success of the field trip. The campus wishes all participating students a productive, meaningful, and rewarding community health learning experience.
