Nurses Week Celebrations Held at MNU Thinadhoo Campus

MNU Thinadhoo Campus celebrated Nurses Week 2026 with a series of activities held from 6th May until the end of the celebration, honouring the dedication, compassion, and service of nurses, nursing students, and lecturers.

As part of the celebrations, an appreciation board was displayed at MNU Thinadhoo Campus to honour nursing students and staff. Individual messages were placed in envelopes on the board for each lecturer and student, creating a meaningful space to recognise their compassion, dedication, and care towards the community.

On 12th May, in celebration of International Nurses Day, a special tribute was given to the hardworking and dedicated nurses of Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital for their vital role in providing quality care and supporting the development and training of future nurses.

As part of the Nurses Week celebrations, NEYKA, in collaboration with the School of Nursing, hosted a fun and engaging obstacle race on 15th May. The activity brought together students and staff in a spirit of teamwork, laughter, and celebration.

On 16th May, the School of Nursing organised an SN Tea Party at MNU Thinadhoo Campus to appreciate and honour nursing students and lecturers for their dedication, compassion, and service.

The Nurses Week celebrations provided a meaningful opportunity to recognise the valuable contributions of nurses and to celebrate the commitment of future nursing professionals. MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends sincere appreciation to the School of Nursing, NEYKA, Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital, and everyone who contributed to making the celebrations memorable.
