
Fathimath Jaleela is a Lecturer at the School of Nursing, Maldives National University (MNU). She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from MNU and has extensive clinical and academic experience in nursing practice and education.
Prior to joining academia, she worked as a Staff Nurse at ADK Hospital from 2013 to 2014. She later served as a Senior Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) from 2014 to 2019, where she gained significant experience in neonatal and critical care nursing.
Currently, she teaches Bachelor of Nursing students at MNU and contributes to courses such as Nursing Leadership and Management Practice, Integrated Nursing Practice, and Medical and Surgical Nursing Practice. She actively integrates simulation-based education into nursing teaching to enhance students’ clinical reasoning, decision-making, and practical skills in a safe learning environment.
She is certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider.
Her academic interests include advanced clinical practice, simulation-based education, and pharmacology in nursing education.
