The Maldives National University (MNU) held a special ceremony to recognise recipients of the Term 1, 2026 scholarship awards, including the presentation of the Maumoon Foundation Scholarship, which was awarded at MNU for the first time.
From a competitive pool of six applicants for the Maumoon Foundation Scholarship, awarded to students enrolled in the Master of Education programmes at MNU, one successful candidate was selected. The certificate was presented by Dunya Maumoon, a member of the Executive Committee of the Maumoon Foundation. The scholarship recognises and supports students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership and aims to encourage continued achievement in the field of education.
During the same ceremony, MNU also recognised recipients of the Term 1, 2026 MNU Scholarships. From a competitive pool of 64 applicants, 11 students were selected to receive scholarships following a rigorous evaluation process.
The awards were presented by Dr. Shehenaz Adam, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and leadership among its students.
The scholarships awarded included MNU Full Scholarships, MNU Tuition Fee Scholarships, PhD Scholarships, and Shaheed Awards, providing support for students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
These scholarships aim to ease the financial burden on students and enable them to focus on their academic and professional development, while continuing to inspire excellence across the MNU community.
