The ERASMUS CHILDRN project has made major progress in curriculum innovation, research collaboration, and institutional strengthening between ULiège, Université Paris Cité, Heidelberg University, and the Maldives National University (MNU). Key milestones include the launch of the Bachelor of Science in Climate Change—the first of its kind in the Maldives—and an Online Course on Climate Change and Health in SIDS, both ensuring long-term educational impact. Methodological workshops and the International Scientific Conference in Malé (2023) enhanced local research capacity, while the Summer School on Climate Change, Migration, Fisheries, and Health attracted participants from over 30 countries. Dissemination efforts included a COP27 side event, four high-level webinars, and the creation of the CHILDRN website and expert database. Mobility programs benefited 34 participants through staff and student exchanges between Europe and the Maldives. Under Belgian leadership, ULiège continues to guide joint publications and postgraduate research, ensuring lasting scientific cooperation and sustainability beyond the project’s duration.
