A successful training workshop on “Math’s Through Stories” was held today at the Maldives National University!

The ‘Math’s Through Stories’ Country-level Consultation Workshop held today at Maldives National University was a resounding success. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr Natthapoj Vincent Trakulphadetkrai from the University of Reading (UK) and his colleagues from UNESCO and OECD headquarters in Paris for travelling to the Maldives to share their expertise.

Together with over 50 key educational stakeholders – including primary and secondary school teachers, teacher educators, curriculum developers, two Deputy Ministers of Education and the British High Commissioner to the Maldives – the group engaged in rich discussions on how this innovative, research-based, low-cost approach to mathematics learning could be implemented in schools across the country. We look forward to the continued collaboration and the positive impact this work will have on mathematics education in the Maldives.
