Information Session on Civil Procedure
An information session on the Maldives Civil Procedure was held on the 03rd September 2024 for the Bachelor of Shariah and Law (Hons), final semester students. This session was conducted by Uz. Sadhih, Uza. Sana and Uz. Shiuth.
The session provided information on the procedures involving filling of cases, sending notice if receiving the chit, procedures of answering to the claim, time duration involved in each step and how the time duration is calculated in different cases/procedures. Furthermore, the challenges faced by practicing lawyers today in understanding the CPA of Maldives and the differences in the interpretation of the Act, was also discussed.
