Senior Lecturer (Department of Environment and Natural Science)

Biography

Mariyam Nashath began her career in 2000 as a curriculum developer at the
Educational Development Center in the Maldives, soon after earning her Bachelor of
Science in Zoology from the University of Western Australia. In her early professional
years, she focused on creating curriculum materials for science and marine science
subjects, contributing significantly to various educational publications.
In 2005, Nashath furthered her expertise by completing a Master’s degree in Applied
Marine Science from the University of Plymouth. Following this, she joined the Maldives
College of Higher Education, which later became part of the Maldives National
