Faculty of Education to launch a Master of Education course in Term 1, 2013

The new Dean of Faculty of Education, Dr Ali Shareef, said today that he is very keen to increase the number of postgraduate courses offered by the Faculty, especially research-based courses. The Master of Education would be a bespoke Master of Education course for the Maldives designed particularly for those with experience of teaching, professional development and training, educational administration, or an allied field. Several options are being considered, for example, a six-subject course of two years, a three-subject course with a year-long research component and other combinations.
Dr Ali Shareef invites academic staff (or any affiliated parties) who have experience of being in outstanding higher degrees courses including masters and/or doctorates from reputable overseas institutions to contribute to course development by sharing their experiences.
