The Maldives National University’s Student Scholarship Programmes support student empowerment and success,
recognising academic achievement and providing opportunities for talented, enthusiastic and dedicated students to
pursue their educational goals.
MNU scholarships are available to eligible Maldivian students enrolled full-time at the University and include
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Full Scholarships, Tuition Fee Scholarships, Shaheed Awards and Special
Scholarships.
Depending on the scholarship, support may include full tuition fees and a monthly stipend, tuition fee coverage, or
other forms of financial assistance. Special Scholarships are also offered to support areas of national need.
MNU Student Scholarships are funded entirely by The Maldives National University, reflecting our commitment to
expanding opportunities and supporting students throughout their academic journey.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship the following criteria need to be met:
• Be a Maldivian citizen
• Be enrolled full time at the Maldives National University
• Not be the recipient of another sponsored scholarship or be in the Free degree scheme

Undergraduate Tuition Fee Free Scholarship is aimed for the newly enrolled students in an Advanced Diploma or Diploma. The scholarship includes of payment of course fees for the full duration of the program.
Postgraduate Tuition Fee Free Scholarship is aimed for the newly enrolled students in a postgraduate program. The scholarship includes of payment of course fees for the full duration of the program.
