“Strengthening Your Inner Compass” was the central theme when The Maldives National University (MNU) welcomed Ms. Ayesha Nurain Janah to the stage for another standout session of the MNU Speaker Series on 10 November 2025. An internationally recognized business leader, corporate governance expert, and Chairperson of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Board, Nurain captivated an audience of over 200 students and community members. Sharing powerful insights from her diverse career across finance, global governance, and philanthropy, she urged the next generation of leaders to embrace uncertainty and anchor their professional ambitions in personal authenticity and resilience.
The session highlighted the importance of self-awareness, ethical leadership, and lifelong learning in navigating an increasingly complex world. It also reinforced MNU’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by promoting leadership development, empowering women leaders, and strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and the wider community.
