On 03rd December 2025, Senior Lecturer Zahira Mohamed from the HDh. Kulhudhuffushi Campus participated in a virtual public lecture titled “Responsible Innovation,” delivered by Professor Sofiène Affes.

The session explored ethical frameworks, social responsibility, and sustainable design practices essential when introducing new technologies into society. Ms. Mohamed’s participation reflects the university’s commitment to ensuring that regional faculty remain connected to global academic discussions on ethical innovation and responsible technological development.

The engagement contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through continuous professional learning and knowledge exchange; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by promoting responsible and sustainable approaches to innovation; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through engagement with the wider international academic community.
