Senior Lecturer Shihanath Ibrahim participated in the DIGITAsia Training Series – “Future-Ready Educators” (Modules 1–4), an online professional development programme conducted from 01 July to 28 October 2025.
The training series was designed to enhance educators’ capacity to integrate digital technologies and innovative approaches into teaching and learning practices. It focused on strengthening digital competencies, promoting technology-enhanced pedagogy, and equipping educators with the skills to adapt to the evolving needs of education in an increasingly digital environment.
Through the four-module programme, participants developed their ability to use digital tools effectively, design engaging and learner-centred learning experiences, and explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The programme also supported educators in responding to emerging technological developments and preparing learners for the future of education.
The participation of Senior Lecturer Shihanath Ibrahim in the DIGITAsia training series contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education, by strengthening educators’ digital capabilities and supporting innovative, inclusive, accessible, and learner-centred education. The initiative also aligns with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through its emphasis on digital transformation and the effective integration of emerging technologies into educational practices.
Furthermore, the international nature of the DIGITAsia initiative promotes SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, professional development, and international cooperation among educators and institutions.
Participation in this training demonstrates a continued commitment to professional development, digital innovation, and quality education, while contributing to broader efforts to prepare educators and learners for an increasingly technology-driven future.
