Professor Dr. Mohd Mizan Aslam

Dr. Mohd Mizan Aslam is a Professor of International Security Studies at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He previously served as Professor of Security and Strategic Studies at the National Defense University of Malaysia (NDUM). Professor Aslam is also a Senior Fellow at the Global Peace Institute (GPI) in London, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the National Panel for Deradicalization in Malaysia. He previously held the position of Professor of Counter Terrorism Studies at the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Professor Aslam also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Perdana Global Peace Foundation (PGPF). He is a Country Expert with the Middle East Institute (MEI) in Washington, D.C., USA, specializing in terrorism and extremism issues in Southeast Asia (SEA) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). His international academic appointments include visiting scholar positions at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (USA), Ibn Haldun University (Istanbul, Turkey), and Universitas Sultan Yusuf (Jakarta, Indonesia).

This keynote explores how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and green innovation, can contribute to building resilient, inclusive, and prosperous societies. It emphasizes the importance of responsible innovation, ethical leadership, and international collaboration in navigating uncertainty and ensuring that technological advancement serves the broader interests of humanity and future generations.
