Zeena Abdul Qayyoom is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing, Maldives National University (MNU), with over 24 years of experience in nursing education. A registered Nurse Midwife since 2001, she has made significant contributions to the advancement of nursing education in the Maldives through teaching, clinical education and supervision, curriculum development, research, and postgraduate research supervision.
She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Nursing Sciences at the School of Nursing, MNU. She has also served on the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council, reflecting her commitment to professional leadership and the advancement of nursing and midwifery at the national level. In addition, she actively contributes to national health initiatives aimed at strengthening nursing practice and improving the quality of healthcare delivery in the Maldives.
Through her sustained commitment to excellence in nursing education, research, academic leadership, and professional service, Zeena Abdul Qayyoom continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening nursing education and advancing the nursing profession in the Maldives.
