Sh. Hassan Latheef Moosa

Biography

Sh. Hassan Latheef Moosa is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Shariah and Law with over 30 years of experience in Islamic education, teaching, and academic leadership. He specializes in the Arabic language, Qur’anic Studies, Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), and Islamic Theology, and has dedicated his career to advancing Islamic education through teaching, curriculum delivery, and educational administration.

Throughout his career, he has served in a range of academic and leadership positions, including lecturer, principal, and school administrator, contributing significantly to the development of Islamic education in the Maldives. His academic interests focus on strengthening Islamic pedagogy and promoting effective approaches to teaching Shariah-related disciplines.

In recognition of his longstanding contributions to Islamic education and religious service, he received the National Award of Recognition from the Government of Maldives in 2023 for his services in raising Islamic awareness, religious service, and Islamic education.
