Salna Susan Abraham

Biography

Ms. Salna Susan Abraham is a lecturer in the Department of Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Health Sciences, The Maldives National University. She completed her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kerala University of Health Sciences and Bachelors in Pharmacy from Vinayaka missions’ university with HD. She has joined MNU in January 2023.

Prior to this, she worked in different universities as an assistant professor, contributing her expertise in the field of medicinal chemistry. In the field of research, she demonstrated her commitment by conducting research on new antimicrobial nucleus addressing the resistance to antimicrobial agents during her post-graduation. Her research areas of interest include computational modelling, designing and development of new potent molecules and synthesizing and evaluating their pharmacological action. The predominant work was antibacterial and anticonvulsant screening. She has published research papers and articles in these areas. She is also an experienced pharmacist with native license and Pharmacy council registration
