Muhsina Mohamed joined the Faculty of Education, Maldives National University in 1999. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Environment and Natural Science at present. She completed her MEd in educational studies in December 1999 at the Macquire University, Australia. She has also achieved a BSc (Hon) in Combined Science (Chemistry and Biology).   Her research interests include,  Organic Chemistry, environmental impact of organic chemicals,  environmental pollution  and STEM education
