Mohamed Shahid is a Lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Arts, at The Maldives National University (MNU). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Noble Hadith and Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madinah and a Master of Arts in Qur’anic Sciences from the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM). He is currently pursuing doctoral studies.

He completed his O’Level and A’Level education at Jalaluddin School in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi. His areas of academic and professional expertise include Arabic language, Islamic studies, Qur’anic sciences, and Hadith studies.

Prior to joining MNU, he gained diverse teaching and higher-education experience. He served as an Arabic Language Teacher at Imaduddeen School (2017–2018), a Higher Secondary Islam Teacher at Jalaluddin School (2021–2022), and a Tharubiyya, Science, and Arabic Teacher at Arabiyya School (2022–2024). He has also served as a part-time lecturer at the Islamic University of Maldives, Villa College, and Zikura International College.

His academic and professional experience reflects a strong commitment to Arabic language education, Islamic scholarship, and higher education in the Maldives.
