Abdul Sattar Abdul Rahman is the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Maldives National University in the Republic of the Maldives. He holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis) and Quranic Sciences from the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan, where he also completed his Master’s Degree in Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis) and Hadith.
He currently serves as the Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Fatwa in the Maldives and has worked at the Maldivian Islamic Fiqh Academy. He was the former Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Minister at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Maldives.
Abdul Sattar Abdul Rahman has participated in various international conferences, presenting papers on different topics, and has numerous publications in the field of Islamic law.
