Aishath Shoozan is a Lecturer at the Centre for Foundation Studies of the Maldives National University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching English as a Second Language. She holds a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Her research focuses on English for Specific Purposes and the design and evaluation of evidence-informed instructional solutions through Design and Development Research. She is particularly interested in investigating how specialized registers are learned and how evidence-informed instructional solutions developed through Design and Development Research can support their learning.
