Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Nursing students from the School of Nursing conducted a School Health Assessment Event at Thinadhoo School on 15th June 2026, creating a meaningful opportunity to promote student health, well-being, and preventive health awareness.
The activity provided nursing students with valuable hands-on experience in community and school health practice. Through the assessment, students were able to apply their learning in a real school setting while engaging with school children and supporting health awareness within the community.
The event also highlighted the importance of early identification of health concerns, health education, and school-based well-being initiatives. Such activities help strengthen the link between nursing education and community health needs, while encouraging future nurses to develop practical skills, confidence, and a strong sense of service.
MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends heartfelt appreciation to Thinadhoo School for the warm support and for facilitating this important initiative. The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of educational institutions to promoting healthier, safer, and more supportive learning environments for children.
