The Maldives National University (MNU) Library conducted a Search Strategies and Information Evaluation session for students of the Nursing programme on 25 February 2025.

The two-hour session was held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and attended by 45 students from NUR175 (Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing, Semester 2).

The session focused on developing students’ skills in finding, evaluating, and selecting reliable and relevant information for their academic work. Students were introduced to practical search strategies and key considerations for evaluating information sources, including relevance, credibility, accuracy, and currency.

The session forms part of the MNU Library’s ongoing information literacy initiatives, supporting students in developing effective research skills and making informed use of academic information resources.

The session supported quality education and lifelong learning by helping students produce credible academic work. These skills also prepare students for ethical professional practice and encourage academic integrity. By sharing educational resources and research skills wth students, the library contributed to the exchange of knowledge that supports partnerships for the goals.
