The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (FHTS) welcomed 126 preschool students from Galolhu School on 27 August 2026 for an engaging educational visit to the Faculty.

The visit provided the young learners with equal access to educational experiences beyond their regular school environment, allowing them to explore university facilities, giving them the opportunity to explore a new learning environment and discover some of the activities connected to hospitality and tourism. Through simple and interactive experiences, the children were introduced to the Faculty and encouraged to learn through observation, participation, and interaction with FHTS staff.

As part of the visit, the students learned about personal grooming and were introduced to basic kitchen safety in an age-appropriate and engaging way. These activities supported experiential learning, allowing the children to develop their knowledge and skills through practical experiences outside their usual classroom environment.

 The students actively participated in the activities arranged during the visit, creating an enjoyable opportunity for education and learning while encouraging curiosity and awareness of different environments and practices.

Through collaboration with Galolhu School, FHTS continues to extend educational experiences to the wider community and create opportunities for knowledge sharing with learners of different ages. School outreach activities such as this support quality education and lifelong learning by encouraging learning, curiosity, and engagement from an early age.
