The Dean and lecturers of the Faculty of Education engaged in discussions with Moldova University on 14 May 2025 to explore areas of mutual collaboration and identify opportunities that would benefit both institutions.
The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, including the development of academic courses, establishment of student and faculty exchange programmes, and identification of shared research interests. Both institutions expressed their commitment to enhancing educational experiences, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and advancing academic development through collaborative initiatives.
The proposed collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices while creating opportunities for students and academic staff to engage in international learning and research experiences. These efforts are expected to strengthen institutional ties, encourage innovation, and support the development of long-term international partnerships in higher education.
The initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education by promoting academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and expanded educational opportunities for students and academic staff. It also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through the promotion of research collaboration, innovation, and the development of relevant and forward-looking academic programmes.
Furthermore, the engagement directly supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening international cooperation and building meaningful partnerships between higher education institutions. Through continued collaboration, both institutions can share expertise, develop joint initiatives, and contribute to a more connected and innovative higher education community.
The engagement marks an important step towards strengthening international academic cooperation, innovation, knowledge exchange, and quality education, while advancing the shared commitment of both institutions to sustainable development and global partnership.
