The Maldives National University (MNU) Library will conduct an orientation session for academic staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) to introduce the range of print and digital resources available to support teaching, learning, and research.

The session will provide an overview of the Library’s Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), including how academic staff can identify core and supplementary course texts and other resources available through the Library’s collection. Participants will also be introduced to the Library’s growing range of digital resources and online collections.

A key component of the session will be an exploration of e-books and digital resources available through major academic platforms, including EBSCOhost, Research4Life, JSTOR, and Saruna, MNU’s digital repository. The session will demonstrate how these resources can be effectively accessed and used to support course development, academic teaching, and research.

The orientation forms part of MNU Library’s ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness and effective use of its resources among academic staff and to ensure that the Library’s collections are fully utilized in supporting the University’s academic mission.
