The Faculty of Arts at The Maldives National University (MNU) has announced an extension to the application deadline for its upcoming “Chinese Language Basic” course. Interested applicants are now able to apply until 23:59 hrs on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

The course is aimed at individuals seeking to gain foundational knowledge of the Chinese language while developing practical conversational skills for everyday communication. Classes are scheduled to commence on 2 June 2026 and will continue until 23 July 2026.

Sessions will be conducted physically on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 19:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs. The programme has a capacity of 30 participants, with admission granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must be aged 16 years or above to enroll.

The course fee is set at MVR 2,250.00, and interested participants are required to submit their applications through the link below:
