As the Dean of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at the Maldives National University, I am honored to address our vibrant community dedicated to the stewardship of our precious marine resources.

Our islands are surrounded by some of the most diverse and rich ecosystems in the world. It is our collective responsibility to ensure their sustainability for future generations. The challenges we face—such as climate change, overfishing, and habitat degradation—demand innovative solutions and a deep commitment to research and education.

At our faculty, we are committed to providing a comprehensive education that equips our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to address these pressing issues.
