Trainings were conducted as per the CETE training calendar during the Term 2, 2024. Following are brief of the trainings:

Unlocking Moodle’s Potential: From Basics to Best Practices- Workshop 1

The two-hour workshop held on 12th August 2024, specifically for MNU academic staff, was designed to enhance their proficiency in utilizing Moodle for their teaching subjects. The session focused on sharing practical experiences and essential skills to effectively leverage Moodle’s capabilities in an academic setting. Technology-enabled active learning strategies for learning design

A training workshop on “Technology-enabled active learning strategies for learning design” was conducted to the academic staff on 7th and 9th October 2024. The primary aim of the workshop is to help academic staff incorporate active learning strategies into their lesson design and guide them on how technological tools can be used to facilitate such strategies in their teaching and learning practices. The workshop was delivered in Hybrid mode and was facilitated by Instructional designer, Ibrahim Adam.
 

Using OBS for Online Synchronous Sessions

A training workshop on “Using OBS for Online Synchronous Sessions” was conducted for the academic staff. This training was designed to introduce academic staff to the features of OBS for conducting dynamic and engaging online synchronous sessions. During the training, participants were provided with hands-on experience in setting up OBS with customized scenes and media, integrating the OBS virtual camera with Google Meet, and managing live transitions between different scenes.This workshop would help academic staff to elevate the quality of their online teaching sessions, making them more professional, engaging, and interactive. The workshop was held from 13 – 16 October 2024 and was facilitated by Instructional designer, Ibrahim Adam.
