Basic Life Support
A session on initial assessment and Basic Life Support (BLS) was conducted for staff of Dhamana Veshi to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in recognizing and responding to life-threatening emergencies. The session focused on systematic initial assessment, early identification of deterioration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and appropriate basic emergency responses. Through practical demonstration and guided learning, participants were supported to develop greater confidence in providing immediate care until advanced medical assistance becomes available. Strengthening BLS competency among healthcare staff contributes to improved patient safety, timely emergency intervention, and better health outcomes.
The session improved participants’ knowledge, practical skills, and confidence in recognizing and responding to medical emergencies. It strengthened preparedness for providing immediate Basic Life Support and contributed to improving patient safety and emergency-care capacity within the healthcare setting. The activity also supported continuing professional development and strengthened collaboration between MNU and healthcare professionals.
