Academic staff from the Faculty of Education actively contributed to institutional governance through participation in university committees and decision-making bodies at The Maldives National University. Faculty members served on the Committee on Courses, Academic Senate, Appeals Committee, and the Duty-of-Care Compliance Audit Committee, contributing their expertise to academic and institutional development initiatives.
Their participation supported the review and enhancement of academic regulations, quality assurance processes, institutional policies, and strategic planning initiatives. Faculty members also contributed to committee meetings, audit activities, preparation of audit materials, interviews, observations, and report writing processes, demonstrating a strong commitment to institutional improvement and accountability.
The initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening academic quality and educational governance; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through transparent, accountable, and inclusive institutional practices; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration among academic staff, university leadership, and stakeholders in achieving shared institutional objectives.
