The architectural critique, commonly known as “crit,” remains a cornerstone of our architectural educational process. On December 01st FEST conducted final crit sessions for our semester 4, students. Each session, featuring esteemed architects, provided invaluable feedback on student projects.
Students presented their architectural design projects to panels of visiting architects, faculty members, and peers using presentation boards, models, and digital representations. This vibrant showcase highlights months of hard work, featuring:
🔹 Conceptual boards and detailed plans
🔹 Physical and digital models
🔹 Visionary approaches to communal spaces
The architectural critique sessions align with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing students with experiential learning, professional feedback, and opportunities to strengthen their design and presentation skills. They support SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by encouraging innovative architectural concepts, creative problem-solving, and exploration of new approaches to the built environment. The activity contributes to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by allowing students to develop design solutions for communal spaces and consider how architecture can contribute to inclusive and sustainable communities. It also advances SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by bringing together students, faculty, practicing architects, and peers to exchange knowledge, provide professional guidance, and strengthen academia–industry collaboration.
