Mr. Asim Abdul Sattar is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at The Maldives National University (MNU). He has over twenty five years of experience in public service and holds a Master of Education from Edith Cowan University alongside a Bachelor of Education from the University of the South Pacific.
Across his distinguished career including two terms as Dean of Faculty of Arts and over four years as Dean of Faculty of Education, he has developed deep expertise in curriculum design, quality assurance, and academic governance.
Mr. Asim expanded faculty’s academic portfolio by driving the development of milestone postgraduate and doctoral programs in Applied Linguistics (Dhivehi), Maldivian Culture and History. He successfully diversified academic delivery modes, strengthened international profile via global partnerships, and served vital governance roles as a University Council member and various committees of the university.
