As part of Aboobakuru School’s annual Uniform Bodies Camp, MNU School of Nursing lecturer Aishath Sharuwath Ilyas conducted basic first aid sessions for Little Maids and Cub Scouts students on 22 and 24 August 2026.
The sessions focused on helping students identify simple wounds that require dressing, understand the importance of cleanliness and hygiene when providing first aid, learn the correct procedure for dressing a wound, and become familiar with the proper use of basic first aid materials.
Through practical demonstrations and child-friendly learning activities, students were able to gain useful everyday first aid knowledge and build confidence in responding safely to minor injuries. The sessions also encouraged responsibility, care for others, personal safety, and healthy hygiene practices from an early age.
The activity promoted child safety, health awareness, practical life skills, student learning, and community engagement. It also strengthened collaboration between MNU Thinadhoo Campus and local schools in supporting meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.
MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends sincere appreciation to Aboobakuru School for providing this opportunity to contribute to the learning, safety, and development of its students.
