The Centre for Educational Technology and Excellence (CETE) successfully concluded the Moodle Boot Camp for Term 2, 2026, with three engaging and hands-on sessions held across MNU campuses on 10, 12 and 13 August 2026.
The Boot Camp series was designed to support lecturers in preparing and enhancing their Moodle course pages ahead of the new semester. Across all three sessions, lecturers worked on organising essential course information, learning resources, activities, assessment components and student engagement features to create effective and student-ready online learning environments.
The first Boot Camp was held at MNU Business School (MNUBS) on 10 August, followed by the second session at the e-Facilitation Room, MNU Central Administration, on 12 August. The final session was held at the Faculty of Arts Computer Lab on 13 August, bringing the three-campus Boot Camp journey to a successful close. A total of 49 lecturers from various faculties across MNU participated in the three Boot Camps, coming together to strengthen their Moodle skills.
Throughout the sessions, lecturers participated in three practical missions, Moodle treasure hunts, interactive challenges, peer reviews, achievement badges and collaborative activities. These activities encouraged lecturers to explore Moodle beyond simply uploading course materials, with a focus on building well-structured, engaging and interactive learning spaces.
The hands-on format also provided lecturers with opportunities to learn from one another and receive direct technical and instructional support from the CETE team, making course preparation a practical, collaborative and enjoyable experience.
The successful completion of the three Boot Camps reflects CETE’s continued commitment to strengthening digital teaching and learning practices at MNU and supporting lecturers in making effective use of Moodle to enhance the student learning experience.
