
Zeenaz Fahmee is a Lecturer at the Maldives National University since 1999. Other posts she held in MNU include: Quality Assurance Controller of MNU, Head of Department of Nursing, faculty of Health Sciences and the Head of Department of Nursing Specialties, School of Nursing.
Subjects she taught in MNU include: Medical Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Epidemiology, Nursing Principles and Practice, Community Health Nursing, Ward Management, Health Promotion, Research in Nursing and Health Care, Community Management and Clinical Governance. She also supervised Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s degree students.
She worked as a Staff Nurse in Central Hospital from June 1993 and was later transferred to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) where she worked till February 1999. During this period, she gained work experience in Labour Room, Medical Wards, Surgical Ward, Gynae Ward, Paediatric Wards, Out Patient Department, and Casualty Department. At the same time, she was also supervising students and taught nursing students as an external lecturer.
PGDip/MSc in Health Development in July 2004 at the University of Central England, United Kingdom.
Graduate Diploma in Nursing in Advanced Nursing Practice from the University of Newcastle, Australia
Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
