The Maldives National University and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) agreed to cooperate on the exchange of students and staff in the context of the Erasmus+ KA171 program. https://erasmus-ka171.webs.upv.es/

• To whom: Full-time lecturers of The Maldives National University
• Where to: Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
• What for: The selected lecturers will exchange academic experiences and explore future collaboration in common research fields.
• Period of the stay in the UPV: One week (five working days and two travel days) in 2026 according to the working plan agreed with the UPV hosting Professor (Prof. Luís Ángel Ruiz Fernandez, laruiz@cgf.upv.es, https://www.upv.es/ficha-personal/laruiz)

ELIGIBLE lecturers: MNU Lecturers working in the area of geospatial technologies related to natural disasters, climate change and coastal monitoring, environmental monitoring, urban and island planning.

APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED: BEFORE 14^th May 2026

THE APPLICATION SHOULD SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

1. CV in English
2. Motivation letter where the applicant expresses why he/she wishes to participate in this exchange
3. Draft of the working plan pre-agreed with a UPV professor that should contain the overall objectives of mobility and expected outcomes on the professional development and on the development of institutional collaboration.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection committee will consider the following criteria:

1. Motivation letter: Up to 3 points
2. Applicant’s curriculum vitae: up to 3 points
3. Proposed work plan: up to 4 points. This section will take into account the added value of mobility (for both institutions and for the participant) and the expected impact and results.

After the deadline for submitting applications, the list of candidates admitted to the selection process will be posted on the Project website https://erasmus-ka171.webs.upv.es/calls/calls-incoming/

The selection committee will meet in May 2026 in order to select the candidates, and will issue the final list of nominees and reserve list; It will be published on the (insert MNU website link) and on the Project website https://erasmus-ka171.webs.upv.es/calls/calls-incoming/
