The Maldives National University (MNU) and the National Integrity Commission of Maldives (NIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance cooperation in research, training, and capacity-building initiatives aligned with areas of mutual interest and national priorities.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, Vice Chancellor of MNU, and Uz. Shuaib Abdul Rahman, President of the National Integrity Commission. The MOU establishes a framework for collaboration aimed at supporting and advancing research initiatives relevant to the mandate and strategic priorities of the National Integrity Commission. Through this partnership, both institutions seek to promote evidence-based practices, strengthen institutional capacity, and contribute to the development of knowledge in areas of shared concern.
Under the agreement, MNU and NIC will collaborate on joint research projects, facilitate the exchange of information and data in compliance with ethical, confidentiality, and data protection requirements, and undertake a range of collaborative activities. These include research programmes, human resource development initiatives, on-the-job training opportunities, as well as workshops, seminars, and internship programmes for mutual benefit.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of MNU and NIC to strengthening research, promoting integrity, and supporting national development through collaborative academic and institutional engagement.
