Ibrahim Mohamed is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Education in the Maldives National University (MNU), based at the Kulhudhuffushi Campus.
Prior to his current position, he worked as a secondary teacher of Accounting and Mathematics at Madharasathul Ahmadhiyya and Jalaaluddin School, before being selected for a Ministry of Education programme to train as a school principal, a role he held in two schools from 2008 to 2012. He joined MNU in 2012 as a lecturer, and later served as Campus Manager of MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus from 2014 to 2021. He currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus, teaching subjects across mathematics education, educational psychology and studies, business and administration, and social science.
His areas of interest include mathematics education and pedagogy, authentic assessment in education, school management and educational leadership, and curriculum development. He is currently conducting a mixed-methods study on authentic assessment in primary mathematics in Kulhudhuffushi schools. Besides teaching, he has a long-standing commitment to Maldivian Scouting, holding the Wood Badge (3 Beads) from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and playing an active role in the National Scout Training Team (NSTT).
