MNU International SDG Research and Best Practice Development

The Maldives National University (MNU) actively engages in international collaboration and research to review comparative approaches and develop global best practices for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through initiatives such as the Nitrogen Hub Project, the PROMISE Project, and its partnerships established under multiple MoUs with regional and international universities, MNU contributes to advancing knowledge and policy solutions that address shared sustainability challenges. Its flagship conferences, including the Theveli Conference, the International Conference on Innovations in Engineering, Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (ICEST), and the EduTech Symposium, serve as platforms for global dialogue where comparative experiences and innovative models are shared. These engagements enable MNU to benchmark national progress against international practices and adapt proven strategies for implementation in the Maldivian context, strengthening the university’s role as a catalyst for sustainable and inclusive development.
