Biography

Maryam Uhaamath is a Research Assistant at the Research Development Office (RDO) of the Maldives National University (MNU). Mrs. Uhaamath was also a recipient of the MNU Scholarship in 2023 for her Master of Law, in recognition of her academic excellence. She holds a Master of Law (LLM) and a Bachelor of Shari’ah & Law (Honours), both awarded with Distinction.

She was appointed as the Ethics Secretary of the MNU Research Ethics Committee on 23rd January 2025 by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, a role she carries out with great care and competence under the university’s official Research Ethics Policy. Additionally, she provides editorial and operational support for the Maldives National Journal of Research (MNJR), playing a critical role in ensuring the journal’s timely and high-quality publication.

Prior to joining RDO, Mrs. Uhaamath served at Raajje Television Pvt Ltd from 2017 to 2024, where she held the position of HR and Legal Manager. Her tenure was marked by notable leadership and cross-functional expertise, particularly in the areas of legal affairs, human resource management, and executive-level strategic planning. She was also a member of the Executive Committee (EXCO), contributing to key strategic decisions that supported the organization’s growth and success.
