Uza. Najwa Naseem is a Lecturer in Law at the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, The Maldives National University (MNU). She joined the University in June 2022 and teaches a range of undergraduate law courses. She is committed to fostering critical thinking, legal reasoning, and professional ethics while creating an engaging and student-centred learning environment. She also contributes to curriculum development, academic activities, and initiatives that support the continuous growth and development of the Faculty.
Alongside her academic responsibilities, Uza. Najwa is engaged in legal practice, providing legal advice and representation across a range of legal matters. Her practical experience complements her teaching by bridging legal theory with real-world legal practice and enriching students’ understanding of the law.
Her research interests include employment law, commercial law, labour rights, and the development of Maldivian jurisprudence. She is particularly interested in advancing legal research and contributing to the development of fair and effective legal frameworks in the Maldives.
