Biography

A dedicated professional with strong foundations in business, marketing and hospitality, Mr. Mohamed Afshan Ashfag passionately serves MNU Business School as a Lecturer, fostering innovation and excellence in students. Mr. Afshan’s expertise comes from an extensive background in service quality, market and brand management, food & beverage cost control and quality assurance, hospitality operations management, employee training and development, event planning & execution amongst others. Whether as a business owner, lecturer, or trainer, Mr. Afshan champions continuous learning and sharing knowledge — a commitment he displays spectacularly in his role as Batch Coordinator for Bachelor of Marketing students of Business School.

Projects Undertaken

  • F&B Training Program City Investments (2010) Mr Octopus (2021): Developed and conducted
    comprehensive training programs covering hygiene, safety, customer service, and operational
    excellence for F&B staff.
  • Menu Development for Marble Hotel (2013–2014): Innovated and executed special menu designs
    aligned with customer preferences and business goals.
  • Cooking Program (2022): Designed and conducted a one-week training program for 35
    participants in two different islands and coordinated an end of the programme food festival.
