“Theveli 2023”,was held on the 21 and 22 August 2023. The theme for the year 2023 is RESEARCH FOR INFORMED POLICY DECISIONS
The meaning of the Dhivehi word, “Theveli” is, the sun’s rays that are spread on the sea when the sun or moon rises and sets. WE, THE MALDIVES NATIONAL UNIVERSITY acts as the platform which spreads the light rays of knowledge throughout the nation, the region and around the globe. Our aim is to bring together the best brains from all over the world and disseminate their priceless knowledge via this conference.
The opening ceremony of the Theveli Conference 2023 was held on August 21, 2023. First Lady Fazna Ahmed attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
A total of 161 abstracts were submitted for this year’s conference. Out of these 143 were accepted.
Authors affiliated with institutions from Bangladesh, Australia, Cyprus, UK, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Oman, Bahrain, Croatia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives, are to present their papers at this conference.
MNU staff and students are to present 70 papers. Nearly 60 papers are from authors affiliated with foreign institutions. This year’s abstracts are compiled in the following pages, arranged by sub-themes 1 to 9. Abstracts of poster presentations are also included here within their respective sub-themes.
