Aishath Samahath Hassan is currently working at the Research Development Office of the Maldives National University, as a Junior Project Officer, Project PROMISE; funded by the European Union Switch Asia Grants program. She was appointed for this position on 22nd December 2022. As a Junior Project Officer, her main work involves in managing the finances of the project apart from assisting in project activities such as consultations with MSMEs, MFA surveys, and various workshops/events.

She has completed Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) from Gargi College, University of Delhi and has pursued Master in Business Administration from Open University of Malaysia.

She joined Bank of Maldives in 2014 and worked as a Senior Credit Officer, where mainly she had to analyze and structure the credit applications within the Bank’s lending policy and guidelines, assist and follow up in preparation of periodic reports required for management review and approve/coordinate approval of credit applications within the delegated authority limits. Upon completion of her Bachelors, she worked at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority as a Senior Officer in 2013, where she deals with data handling of the revenue codes and non- tax refunds, enforcing the dues of the codes and providing due clearance certificates to the tax payers. Also, she has worked at Maldives Police Service as a Police Constable during 2010.
