SUMMARY:Challenges for Comparative and International Education: Learning from Small Island Developing States (Public Lecture)
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce an upcoming public lecture on Challenges for Comparative and International Education: Learning from Small Island Developing States (SIDS)\, presented by Professor Michael Crossley\, Emeritus Professor of Comparative and International Education at the University of Bristol. \nAs the founding Director of the Centre for Comparative and International Research in Education (CIRE\, UoB) and Director of the Education in Small States Research Group\, Professor Crossley brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise on the challenges faced by small island developing states in providing quality education to their populations. \nHis extensive experience in teaching\, research\, and consultancy in countries around the world including England\, Australia\, Papua New Guinea\, Kenya\, Tanzania\, Pakistan\, China/Hong Kong\, Belize\, Botswana\, Saint Lucia\, the Turks and Caicos Islands\, The Bahamas\, Fiji\, Malaysia\, Sarawak\, Malta\, and the Maldives have informed his major research interests\, which relate to theoretical and methodological scholarship on the future of comparative and international education; the dilemmas of international education policy transfer; research and evaluation capacity and international development cooperation; and educational development in small states. \nThis public lecture will be held on 21st March 2023 at 4:30PM at MNU A-Block Auditorium. We invite all interested individuals to attend this event and engage in discussions on the challenges and opportunities for comparative and international education in small island developing states. \n
