DESCRIPTION:The Maldives National University (MNU) Libraries will conduct an Effective Database Searching Session for students pursuing the Master of Science in Computer Science\, Bachelor of Computer Science\, and Bachelor of Information Technology programmes. \nThe session aims to equip participants with the skills to search academic databases effectively and retrieve relevant scholarly information to support their assignments\, studies\, and research. \nParticipants will learn practical search techniques\, including keyword selection\, the use of Boolean operators\, phrase searching\, truncation\, and filters to refine search results. The session will also cover identifying relevant academic articles and accessing full-text resources. \nThrough practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises\, participants will have the opportunity to apply these techniques and develop greater confidence in using library databases for their academic work.
