Ms. Aishath Shaheen Ismail was appointed as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs on 14th November 2019.

Most of Ms. Ismail’s career has been serving the Maldives National University (MNU), starting in 1993 as an Assistant Tutor, moving to the post of Senior Lecturer and serving as the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences from 2011 to 2019.

Additionally, she served as a member of Maldives Board of Health Sciences, Maldives Allied Health Council and National Health Research Committee. Currently she is a member of National Health Research Council and a member of the advisory Board of Judicial Academy.

Ms. Ismail has vastly contributed to public health and nutritional related activities – developing the Health Master Plans, Strategic Action Plans on NCD and Nutrition at a national level.
